How to read this table
- The same fuel has different factors depending on where it burns. Diesel in a boiler and diesel in a truck do not emit the same: the methane and nitrous oxide differ. That is why they appear separately.
- The year column matters for electricity: the Chilean grid emits less every year, so a 2023 calculation uses the 2023 factor.
- Where it says not published, the Ministry has not released that factor yet. NAVEO leaves it empty, never zero: a zero would claim that consumption emits nothing.
- A factor is never overwritten. When it changes, a new version is stored and the previous one stays on record, so an old report can still be reconstructed.
Every value comes from the official emission factor file published by HuellaChile, Ministry of the Environment of Chile: huellachile.mma.gob.cl.
